STOCK CMS and YMC partnered to deliver a state-of-the-art semiconductor R&D facility in Boise, Idaho. YMC provided on-site personnel, project management tools, and key systems like HVAC, while also handling structural steel and construction elevators to ensure the project stayed on schedule.

This project involved construction of a new wing on an existing hospital in a small remote community. The new central plant and building wing had to be brought on-line and made operational so the owner could move into it, allowing remodel of the existing facility to begin. This project has everything from a new central plant with boilers and chillers to a completely new medical gas bunker and distribution network.

(8) New custom air handlers served this new addition. Variable air volume (VAV) ducting was run throughout the building to terminal units for temperature control in each zone. Chilled water and heating water were derived through connection to the existing campus central plant via tie-ins in the existing building. This was done through an extensive combination of shutdowns and live tie-ins through use of hot tap devices. YMC also performed all the plumbing and medical gasses, which also tied to the existing campus.

YMC has worked both as a contractor on plan/spec jobs and in-house at the St. Luke’s Boise and Meridian facilities for over 20 years. Some project highlights include construction and/or remodel of NICU, PICU, laundry, kitchen/cafeteria, ICU, operating rooms, admin areas, sleep study, etc. For the last 15 years, YMC has maintained a minimum crew of 5 men working at this St. Luke’s facility.

YMC completed full design build of this 40,000 square foot medical training facility. The design was based around VAV air handling with fan powered VAV boxes and reheat coils. Heating was supplied through multiple boilers, and a variable water flow system.

This 50,000 square foot facility serves the remote area of Gooding in south central Idaho. The scope is complicated by the fact that Twin Falls is the nearest major metropolitan area and is over 30 miles away.

YMC used an innovative dual duct heating and cooling system to supply tempered fresh air to both classroom and laboratories. YMC used enthalpy heat wheels to maximize efficiency by capturing energy from the exhaust air stream.

In 2010, YMC was awarded the design and construction project for the Pilot Rock school district, which included replacing outdated boiler systems with a state-of-the-art VRV mechanical system. YMC managed all aspects of the project, from design to installation, completing the work in time for the new school year.

The Council school district is comprised of an elementary school and Jr & Sr high school. This important project consisted of removal of diesel fired boilers and replacement with a new bio-mass boiler with fluid cooler to facilitate a hydronic heat pump system. All of this new equipment was tied into a state of the art DDC system. The nature of this work required all tasks to be performed over summer vacation.

This new laboratory consisted of 9 fume hoods in 4 lab rooms. The lab exhaust was double HEPA filtrated with a Phoenix modulating system to control both hood face velocity and room static pressure. Lab gases piped with multiple out lets in each room served by and exterior gas rack. Heat recovery coils utilized to help offset the 100% outdoor air requirement.

This 66,000 -SF facility houses the police department, tribal courts, and department of corrections for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe. The detention center has male and female quarters, and detoxification cells. With 100 beds the Tribes capacity was increased fivefold.
